When it comes to live CDs by dark ambient or power-electronics artists, the risk is to get something very similar to the studio material, since most of them hardly "play" on stage and end up with relying upon pre-recorded bases. This BDN live document of the (in)famous June 2003 Chicago show is a different story, as it offers an hour of pure shock treatment with a selection of classics crunched to pieces and thrown into the listener's face with unprecedented violence. The sound is so loud and distorted that it suggests the idea of an infernal atmosphere at the club, despite the happy faces of some attendants you can see in the picture reproduced on the CD itself.

Never have anthems like "Innerwar", "Adipocere", "Sperm On Your Jacket" or "I Hate You" sounded so evil and horrendous, filled with such tension that it sounds like your whole stereo system is going to explode. You can't but imagine the audience in Chicago either completely exalted by this assault of noise terror, or fighting in a monstrous mosh pit to survive. You're warned: this is the ultimate BDN experience, with tracks extended over ten minutes of hellish audio torture. Not to be missed by the fans, although even Karmanik's hardcore followers will come out of this with one or two broken bones.
