The Spanish masters of rhythmic industrial return after a few years of silence and a large amount of reissues of their classics. "Pulsión" is the brand-new collection of danceable and adrenaline-filled metal-bashing tunes, this time also available as a limited-edition LP with different tracklist. The vinyl version is highly recommended, as it contains the four best tracks of the CD, plus two exclusive and fantastic ones, absolutely not to be missed by Esplendor's and industrial fans. The album is opened by "Japo", an obsessive and hypnotic pulsation, a mass of distortion with the hysterical voice of Toyama Koichi, the fanatic independent candidate to the mayor election in Tokyo last year, sampled on top. On the more atmospheric and relaxed "Joven Comunista" it's Che Guevara himself to speak, while an anti-Western imam shouts his words of hatred on the tribal "Sistema De Emisión". Strong, powerful voices appear in various tracks.

The most exciting moments are however represented by the two tunes exclusive to the LP version: "Metallum" unleashes a hammering, irresistible metal-bashing dance, while "Lamas" is a slow, disquieting concert for machines whispering and roaring, a return to Esplendor Geometrico's darker atmospheres, much like closing "Aplicación Insospechada", a track which seems to go back to the Spanish duo's very early and noisier days. Summing up, the tracklist you find on the vinyl seems to better reflect the furious enegry of this recording session, whereas on the CD there are a few fillers, such as "Onda Transparentes" or "A La Escucha", that you won't surely play very often.

Anyway, Arturo Lanz and Saverio Evangelista always guarantee maximum rhythmic excitement in their productions, and this new album is an excellent addition to their rich discography and to the collection of every industrial addicted.
