This short six-track mini-CD represents the first solo step by Meri Tadic, violinist of Eluveitie, folk metal band from Switzerland. Under Ahnstern's protective wing, Irij releases a bunch of songs that alternate between instrumental episodes, thin ballads and even one a cappella tune ("Bogu Govorim", the closing one). The titles reveal the singer / violinist's Slavic origins, who attempts here to bring back her cultural roots and heritage. The listening is on the whole enjoyable, and, given the short running time (23 minutes only), it flows without getting boring.
