While listening to last year's split CD between Babylone Chaos, Le Diktat and Lambwool, it was clear that it was the latter to provide the melodic element, with ambient parts and piano tunes, whereas the other two belonged to the noisy and industrial side. The impression is furtherly confirmed by this new limited edition LP by the solo Lambwool, where we find two long tracks of pure atmospheric nature, simply entitled "Mono Part 1" and "Mono Part 2". Of the two, the most interesting is surely the second, with piano melodies, epic synthetic strings and percussions surfacing towards the middle of the running length, while the rest is to be filed under dark ambient, with a genuine feeling of tragic grandeur.

An enjoyable release, although of course not one destined to mark history or spin on your turntable for years to come.
