This is not the new album of the multi-coloured Alpine demons, but a collection of their early recordings, already released as a CDr in an ultra-limited wooden box edition, and now made available again with a somehow different tracklist. There are eighteen songs on "A Wilde Zeit", all coming from vinyls and compilation appearances, with the exception of the debut album "Sturm Ins Leben Hinein!", already reissued on CD. We find then the first 7" "Der Tanz Des Tatzelwurms", dedicated to the mysterious creature, part reptile part mammal, of the Alpine legends, then the tracks from the split with Jägerblut, a few songs from the mini-LP "Alpine Bann- Und Segenssprüche", the 7" "Der Marsch Der Wampelerreiter", the contributions to the "Wir Rufen Deine Wölfe" and "Mia Runa" compilations, and even an unreleased tune.

Through these pictures shot on the snow-covered paths of the Austrian and Bavarian Alps, we can witness the fast maturation of Sturmpercht's sound, from the initial rough ballads with a merry and drunk taste, to the ritual and epic marches characterizing their more recent albums. Spectacular, as usual, the artwork of the digipak, decorated with rural images perfectly fitting to the band's music, and making "A Wilde Zeit" even more precious for all the fans of the Alpine horde and their true and authentic folk.
