TRIORE

"Three Hours"

Cold Meat Industry - 2009

CD

The collaboration between Triarii and Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio was destined to develop far beyond "Roses 4 Rome", the track appeared on the Berlin project's second CD "Pièce Héroique", featuring Tomas Petterson as guest vocalist. Here it comes then TriORE, symbiosis and synthesis of the two bands, baptized by Cold Meat Industry with this debut album, as well as already tested on stage during several European live events. The eleven tracks of "Three Hours" perfectly match the expectations, since the music shifts between each of the two protagonists' characteristic sound, without however merging into a new well-defined entity. Are we then in front of a Triarii CD with Tomas on vocals, or an ORE one with some studio intervention by Triarii? Both things at once.

There are martial and apocalyptic tunes, such as "No Tears Are Shed For You And Me" (surely the most convincing of the lot), or "Fires Burn, Like Fires Do", sporting Christian Erdmann's signature, whereas other show ORE's distinctive epic neofolk approach (it's the case of "Victory Rising", "The Missing Hour", "Europa's Dream"), with a significant prevalence of the second ones. Not to be missed by the many followers of the two projects, TriORE won't fail to appeal also to most martial and neofolk enthusiasts. "Three Hours" is undoubtedly a good album, but it's not the case to talk about milestones.
