Another new Cold Spring release whose roots sink deep into the metal genre. Wicked King Wicker have already been active since a few years in the doom / drone filed, faithfully following the genre's patterns: everlasting tracks, distorted, slow and heavy-as-boulders sounds, cavernous and horrendous vocals. The apocalyptic images reproduced on the sleeve don't reflect too much the content of "God Is Busy... Save Yourself", that actually keeps itself on rather monotonous standards throughout all its eons-long tracks, turning vaguely more electronic just in the first minutes of final "So Easily Lead Astray". As for the rest, a whirling chaos of distortions, noises, screeching and feedbacks flows endlessly, sometimes crossed by beyond-human vocals. The final result is hypnotic and stunning, rather than disturbing. Recommended to the cultists of the slowest and most inexorable sonic agony only.
